Walbank Opticians hope that you and your loved ones are well.
Following on from the Prime Minister’s announcements and our governing bodies, we are now in a position to offer eye examinations and glasses to individuals having a minor reduction in eyesight and glasses/contact lens issues. These are individuals who have been “making do” with current form of visual correction from the start of the pandemic; those who are concerned about their vision or eyes and those who require an appointment due to risk factors being monitored by the Optometrist.
If you feel, any of the above apply to you, please call us to have your needs and concerns assessed. All patients will be considered on a case by case basis. If the Optometrist believes it is necessary for you to visit the practice, this will be arranged. Our Minor Eye Conditions Service for emergencies will continue as before.
We will operate on an appointment basis only, therefore whatever your reason for visiting us, please call to arrange an appointment; this includes repairs and adjustments. We are aware that a number of clients only need new glasses, and you may purchase them from 15th June. We will have two new offers running. Essential eyewear at £49 (frame and standard single vision lenses) and Summer Style eye wear at £95 (frame and single vision Zeiss anti-glare coated lenses). Add-ons are available. Any products (contact lenses, eye drops, etc) you need can be ordered and these will be delivered to you with no additional charges.
We have full PPE, protective screens, sterilizing wipes and hand sanitizer, so you can rest assured that any frame you try on will be completely safe. Cross-infection control procedures are in place. There will only be one customer allowed in the store at any one time. Our processes and protocols have changed in order to keep you and the staff safe. Please be patient with us as we get busier and adapt to the new way.
Our Optometrist is in the practice Monday to Friday, and you can get in touch by
It is also possible to see you late evenings and weekends by request. In the case of an emergency, ALWAYS phone as the Optometrist is available out of hours too. We are not yet back to full working hours therefore, phone calls to the practice are still being diverted to a mobile. This enables the Optometrist to speak to you at any time from anywhere. If you reach a voicemail, please leave a message with your name and number, and we will call you back.
Our hearing care services are still suspended, however existing patients can call The Hearing Care Partnership on 08005200546 with any queries.
Please do not visit the practice at the moment unless you have a pre-arranged appointment.
Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you back at Walbank Opticians.
